- Prince William Forest Park
The Prince William Forest Park is a National Park and is located on the northwestern boundary of the Quantico MCB. The Prince William Forest Park is described as an oasis of natural beauty adjacent to I-95. The park features 37 miles of hiking trails and 21 miles of bike accessible trails. Camping in the park is allowed and there are five camping sites, as well as historic cabins for rent. The park protects land that is located between two physiographic provinces, and therefore encompasses vegetation and wildlife that are native to two climates. - Leesylvania State Park
The Leesylvania State Park is located in the southeast region of Prince William County and is not only rich in natural beauty but is also home to the birthplace of Henry Lee III (or Light Horse Harry). The park offers four hiking trails, ½ mile of natural sand beach along the Potomac River, fishing , boating and boat launch site, primitive camping, a large visitors center with an educational wildlife center, canoe tours, and an old gun battery at Freestone Point. - Occoquan National Wildlife Refuge
The Occoquan National Wildlife Refuge is located at the confluence of the Potomac and Occoquan Rivers, which is north of Quantico MCB. The refuge is approximately 644 acres and was previously the home of a military research site. Today, the refuge contains wetlands, forests, and grasslands that all support a variety of species. This refuge is noted for its grassland nesting birds, neo-tropical migrants, and raptors; the refuge also hosts wildlife common to Virginia. The refuge boasts over 220 species of birds, over 600 species of plants, and 65 species of butterflies. If you are not a bird watcher, the refuge is also a popular spot for fishing. - Splash Down Waterpark
Splash Down Waterpark is located northwest of Quantico MCB in Manassas, VA. It is Northern Virginia’s largest waterpark, and features several waterslides, a lazy river, and is available for rentals. - Prince William Ice Center
